After hundreds of miles and many, many, many long hours in the car we got home last night from our mini-vaca down to Harlingen. We had such a great time getting to see relatives we hardly ever get to see! The girls were AWESOME and had so much playing with Grandmother, Uncle Andy, Aunt Marjorie, Griffin and Olga. On the 4th we had wonderful barbeque, Kathryn got to swim and play on a really cool playground. It was a really nice day! Kathryn really enjoyed doing anything that Griffin was doing, she really took to him!
Saturday we had made plans to go to Padre for the day. Those with children totally understand that when you tell you child you are going to the beach...well, your going! There was so much rain, rain and more rain the whole time we were there. We thought surely there will at least be a 10 minute gap she can run and get her feet in the ocean. Well...we thought wrong and funny enough we weren't the only idiots down there! It just kept raining harder and harder. It turned out to be a really fun trip anyway, we ate some yummy seafood and took Kathryn to a little aquarium exhibit where she could touch some sea life. We will have to try for the beach again, that is all she is still talking about!
